ADITYA L1 Mission By Indian Space Research Organisation
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched the Aditya L1 mission to study the Sun.
Aditya-L1 is India’s first solar mission designed to observe the Sun’s outermost layer, the corona.
The primary objective of Aditya-L1 is to understand the Sun’s behavior and its impact on Earth’s climate.
It will carry a suite of scientific instruments to capture high-resolution images of the Sun.
Aditya-L1 will be placed in a halo orbit around the first Lagrange point (L1), about 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.
This unique orbit allows continuous observation of the Sun without being affected by Earth’s atmosphere.
The mission aims to improve our understanding of solar flares and their potential impact on space weather.
It will also study the Sun’s magnetic field and its influence on solar activity.
Aditya-L1 is a collaborative effort with contributions from various Indian research institutions and international partners.
The data collected by this mission will enhance our knowledge of the Sun and help in space weather prediction.
Did You L1 meaning in ADITYA L1 Mission
Lagrange points are positions in space where objects sent there tend to stay put. At Lagrange points, the gravitational pull of two large masses precisely equals the centripetal force required for a small object to move with them. These points in space can be used by spacecraft to reduce fuel consumption needed to remain in position.
Lagrange Point are basically classified in 5 points such as L1, L2, L3, L4 ,L5.
